Just in from the Slovenia jaunt via various stop offs.
Not a great game obvs, but it has become apparent from conversations had in Zagreb why the Dinamo fame became unfeasible.
Personally, massively encouraged by what I saw and heard of the spirit and determination for this season and the self awareness, from players,staff and officials about what a shitshow last season was.
Great the 2020 bunch took time out to meet and socialise with supporters too (as did MB, briefly, and some of the staff).
Let's hope we build on it, bring in the other key players we need and heal the wounds of last season.

The club, the *actual* club, sent the email to say we'd been allocated 40 tickets, available via the Trust.

Not a member of the Trust? There was an email about tickets. Just as well that it wasn't open doors, because we only knew the location of the venue a couple of hours before kick off.
Thought you must have been out there in the camp, with all that inside information you were posting first thing Saturday.
Slovenia is beautiful and very much worth a visit.

Is leadership within the club really concerned about what is going on this website? Remember, once upon a time, our CEO used to post on here.
I have no inside information. As stated, everything I posted on Saturday morning was posted by the club's media team. Are they really concerned that people know about injuries in pre-season, weeks away from any competitive fixture?
On the subject of leaks; do you not think that someone might be deliberately making leaks or briefing in the background? It's amazing how many transfers are known circa 2-3 days before they happen. Maybe to gauge opinion and not have the "shock factor"? No proof of course, just a theory. Bit like politics.
Crumpy, I respect what you have clearly done for the club, but haranguing anyone who is even remotely critical needs to stop.
The question asked about 'leaks' is very much in the context of the club wanting to be sure people within the club are not disclosing sensitive info - not that anything on Saturday was sensitive, but the principle.
The time thing explains it neatly, of course, and I have apologised.
I disagree that I 'harangue anyone remotely critical' - if I did, I'd never get any work done as most of the time this board is around 90% critical, and I actually agree with lots of that criticism!
But when posts are potentially damaging with lies or innuendo, ill-informed or posting guesswork as 'fact', I'll continue to answer them where and when I can. I actually think the Trust could do more with that, but no-one seems to want to listen when they do.
Unfortunately some people, despite their claims otherwise, seem to simply want to moan and/or be abusive. Their rights to do so of course, as are mine to respond.
There are a few reasons for leaks and probably happen at every club. Someone with a grudge. (Logical or not) Someone who just likes to be "first" Agent talking/bragging to plenty of people. "Lesser" staff seeing a routine they recognise Players chatting amongst themselves and therefore family/friends
Don’t get me wrong… I think the fourth line is actually it.
But this is football. If you don’t want this information coming out, I dare say you’re in the wrong industry. The cat is very much out of the bag at this stage.

Well, you've got that wrong. I'm not monitoring this site on behalf of anyone - but someone obviously was on Saturday morning, and thus the question to me. The club have long been very wary of 'leaks' and with good reason, even if in this instance it was minor information.
And yes, I'd got it wrong, (so had they), which I've just admitted. Always happy to do that.
I wouldn't have seen the post myself as I had no internet access at the game, or on the way to it that morning.
Enough information for you?

I know that people at the club, and their families, sometimes look and also what distress is caused bysome of the vile posts we sometimes have on here.'The Trust' have never been asked to do anything of the sort, as far as I know. I just happened (unsurprisingly since tickets were sorted through them) to travel with four Trust board members. I am not on the Trust board, though I do some work with them. The other person with us also tagged along, as I did.

Details were on the OS when the fixture was announced.
A small number of tickets are available for Town supporters to attend, with the Luton Town Supporters’ Trust co-ordinating applications from Season Card holders, LTFC members and LTST members.
As places are limited to 40, they will be allocated strictly in order of receipt of email requests to: events@lutontownsupporterstrust.com
It's strange that you don't receive most emails as there are a lot sent out. I would suggest that you email the membership secretary and ask him to check - I know that he is away this week so it may take a while to get a reply.
I know that some emails are either rejected or blocked by the recipients and they have been trying to investigate but it seems odd that you receive some but not others - I'm sure that he will investigate for you if you send an email to membership@lutontownsupporterstrust.com

On a sidenote, has it ever been mentioned why we never do a proper pre season trip,with plenty of notice, in the sunshiiiiiine like plenty of other clubs do? Surely a trip like that brings everyone together, on and off the pitch. Or does Gary not trust us all to behave?!!
* 40 Golden tickets to Slovenia, and short notice trips to an obscure German Town and Dundee don't count.

Back on this mornings flight too. What a country for awesome scenery. 4 days at Bled, perhaps the most beautiful place in the world I've seen anyway...1 in Ljubljana...didn't make it to the game, was told our schedule was too busy lol. Not in the least bit bothered as it turned out.

We (me, Eastender and Mr and Mrs Soulhat) have a mate, Marco, who supports Dinamo and Luton and who has been to the Brickies and English Rose with his wife and on one occasion a couple of non-football fans mates.
Bruno got slaughtered on his dad's home made plum brandy and had to retire injured before one game.
Marco's wedding, which our group minus me (family commitments) attended in Croatio was mostly a Luton Town sing song judging by the videos!
Sonic has loads of mates from Go Ahead, Napoli and various other clubs.
