    Ticketing new plan

Posted by EastEnder on 15/7/2025, 13:16:08

Saw someone complaining on Facebook that the new system forces them to pay for 4 games at once.

If that's a problem, surely you just put on credit card?

Although not everyone knows their long-term plans, so putting some games on sale so far in advance might cause a bit of confusion

Would have thought with a 12k capacity and 7500 season tickets sold, surely all those on the season ticket waiting list can now have one?

Take out away fans, corporate areas, current STHs and those on the waiting list and there'll be no point having a membership scheme as there'll be no tickets left to sell to anyone else which means no way for anyone who isn't a STH to get tickets until we get to Power Court. Not the way to build a fanbase.

Clubs are reducing, not increasing, the number of STHs. "One-off" purchasers pay a higher price per game and are more likely to buy stuff than a STH.

The way I read that is you can buy singlely,or up to 4 at a time

Well yes but effectively they all go on sale on same day, to each section of members etc.

So if you think the game might sell out and want to go, or possibly go, it's a risk not to buy.

Ah that is a change, So theres no advantage the longer you've had the membership anymore?

Yep there is. Every membershop category has priority in turn.

The only difference is 4 games go on sale to each category at a time.

Isn't that why we buy a season ticket? Therefore it is giving members more advantage to get tickets

Thats how I read it to. Bu8t they release four a time instead of game by game basis like before.

Man whose job it is to increase revenue for the club finds a way to increase revenue shocker.

It does mean people will have to buy all 4 even if they're only 50/50 on making one or two of them.

Smart from the club as it will inflate attendance as well. Not as good from a fan point of view

I presume you'd be abke to sell them back to the club if you couldn't make the game.

I suppose doing it this way gives an advantage to those that only got round to getting a membership last season.

Previously the only membership worth having was the first year one. Everyone that got one later was just paying for the Bentley to get valeted.

It's the grading of games that made me chuckle. There's not one 'big' club in the division ffs🤣

Plymouth / Cardiff likely higher police costs than a load of OAP Wimbledon fans.

A couple of quid difference to cover increases police/stewarding costs is not all that outrageous.
