Firstly, the away kit sleeves are not raglan style. The hone shirt sleeves are.
Then there's all that comment about red, a nod to the home colours!!!! Good grief. Its such a poorly written and researched article. Live justly, love mercy, perpetuate generosity, walk humbly.
Oi! I may be associated with getting things wrong but I am also known as a bit of an anorak when it comes to kits.Live justly, love mercy, perpetuate generosity, walk humbly.
By and large all you need to know is have 2 of everything - especially the sizes that matter, ie. 2x10mm (6mm thread), 2x13mm (8mm thread), 2x17mm (10mm thread), 2x19mm (12mm thread), etc - it’s 2 of in order that you can hold against yourself.
Jim near Harwich may disagree of course but only on a technicality, ie. Imperial sizes (x2) but I’ll let him advise you on that one….
Further proof that many, many people consider it more red than orange. Another part of the clubs identity goes. I'm very surprised those at The Trust signed off on this guff tbh, especially as, if rumoured, the 3rd kit turns out to be green.
It’s orange, the club and the designers wanted it to not look like Blackpools orange and went back more to the orange of the early 80s kit. Which is a richer orange and unlike anybody else’s use of orange. Last years kits were poor and very late so it’s good they’ve gone away from Umbro. The new away kit is for our younger fan base 😉
It's definitely like no one else's use of orange mate. Because it's basically Red😁 We all know the story of last seasons kit, the reasons why it was so late and the bullshit 'let's keep a kit for 2 years' fairytale. I'm sure some divs still believe that guff!!
Last year's white one was reasonable to be fair. You're correct about the other 2 being poor.
BTW, Blackpool play in tangerine, so if we'd have had a 'normal' orange, we'd have been different to them
Ha ha I could bore you senseless about cmyk, Rgb and Pantone orange colours, but I won’t… I hope reflo pull it out the bag with the third kit and it’s a blinder.
I absolutely agree with that about other people will start to associate us with red rather than orange which should concern those who signed it off.
I'd be surprised if the 3rd kit was green tbh, although strong rumours suggest otherwise, as we haven't got a white kit yet and white is perhaps the other main colour* that is associated with us. Plus I understood that our club colours were protected.
*yes I do know that white isn't technically a colour. Live justly, love mercy, perpetuate generosity, walk humbly.
