    Sir John

Just listened to the night with John Still below.

    Such a great character.
The one thing he kept putting emphasis on was the fans staying on board and giving real support when things get tough.

My biggest fear is that it turns toxic like when we went down to conference.

I truly believe the level of expectation and the hostility to our own players kept us in that division longer than we should have been.

Let's hope we have a good start to shut the idiots up who follow us but don't support when the chips are down.

Apparently he speaks once a week with the Dalai Lama to give him advice on how to cope with life.

Don't tell me, in a warehouse rave on the outskirts of Essex in 1989?

Of course it's going to turn toxic if things don't go well this season. Totally understandable given the disgraceful way things have been handled both on and off the pitch the last 18 months.

My concern is that now we've battered a team of goat hurders the board will be even less keen to spend any money improving the squad.

Let's hope all our fears are squashed and we get off to the good start to the season that we really do need.
