I think the Conference-winning season was my favourite ever in 60 years of watching Luton.
I wonder if John Still could have achieved it as a younger manager? He was like your Dad smoothing things over with the authorities after you’d messed up. Very calm and reassuring, but read you the riot act when you got home.

It was Mission Impossible when he took over from Bucklebollocks but he knew what was needed to turn the team & fans around. He said exactly what needed to be said in a down to earth way - not like the robot coaching badges cliche’ nonsense we often get. As for his sayings…spot on. Mr J.C.
