    Signings and kit

Posted by Doctor Ince on 10/7/2025, 10:11:19

Wells seems a good signing in the Jerome mould. If he's our only striking acquisition though I'll be very disappointed.

Odoffin seems a decent player and a good signing, basically an experienced Walters in that he can play cb or RB.

No idea about the young lad with the unpronounceable and unspellable name. Bet our kit man is delighted.

The less said about the Chelsea kit the better

Resemblance is to Millwall, surely, not Chelsea?

I was thinking of this one

          https://www.thekitman.co.uk/chelsea-2019-20-nike-home-kit/

          But yeah Millwall as well.

Either way, imo, it's not a Luton kit.

I don't think the red/orange one is either really. It's the wrong shade for the Ricky Hill one.

The third one likely to be green but if you lined them up imo you'd be hard pressed to point out exactly which one is supposed to be the deviation from our usual colours

where has this rumour of "green" actually come from?

Notice that so far all kits have different coloured sleeves to the main body of the shirt. I'm hoping for a white shirt with orange sleeves myself as the 3rd kit. Not holding my breath though.

              Oh well.

I think the home shirt is superb, personally.

And it's orange. Would prefer it to be closer to the Bedford one, but it's certainly not red.

It's the same shade as the Umbro ones, I checked with Trust bod.

Think the home kit is pretty decent, and actually prefer it to the 80s one as it’s a bit brighter. Second shirt imo should be white, perhaps since it’s recycled stuff they can’t get it white enough?

                  Oh well

It's only our identity to the outside footballing world but who really cares.

I like the home shirt as a kit but not the colour. It might well be the same as last season and the handful before but they were too red as well.

The away kit is awful. The horrible pattern. The cheap looking ‘stick on’ badge. If the Trust really are closely involved in the process rather than just rubber stamping anything that isn’t yellow, I’m not sure we’re seeing the benefits. Especially as the 3rd kit is apparently green.

New signings look good though, presumably we’ll be shipping out at least 2 more centre backs

                      Exactly

It's a nice kit, just slightly wrong shade of orange

Plenty of them think we play in red thanks to the last three seasons.

The whole point is that we're recognisable

But I've never seen it written or spoken about, at all.

Most recent example is one of the football Facebook pages shared that video of Lansbury kicking that bloke as part of the free kick.

Plenty of comments from people saying 'lad in the red was right'

You'd perhaps do well to visit Specsavers.

And some sort of 'positive thinking' person or book maybe.

If it's only 'oh well' why bother giving the Trust veto rights.

I haven't seen the orange kit in person (because as usual we have no kits to buy) but the photos and videos I've seen definitely make it look more red than orange. Last season we had the same trouble and the season before.

I was as positive about the signings as I think it's possible to be. I just don't get how we manage to fuck up the kits every year.
