I’ve been reading the messages on this board throughout the summer. Plenty of good reads a valid points of view. It does seem like a long summer break this year. I’m looking forward to the new season kicking off. Having been relegated once again and now playing in league 1 I was hoping for more real football and kick off at traditional 3 o’clock. Not to be Sky came barging in wanting to film a one time premier league football club back down in the league. Watching a car crash unfold and seeing the damage done at Luton. Who is up for the fight? Who wants to stand up and fight for the club? And get us promoted? Who would like to right a wrong? And who wants to fu*k off and say nothing to do with me mate. I’m looking after myself. My career my interests. So what if Luton are down. I’m doing okay I’m a premier league player a championship player. I don’t belong in the lower leagues! Rats leaving the sinking ship. Thanks for nothing thanks for your efforts and thanks for getting us to where we are now. Praise the promotion bemoan the relegations. To the players who want to play for Luton , playing good football and getting us promoted. Good on you. You will get my vocal support on match day. You will become my hero’s our king our pride and fight for our Luton town. Good luck to you all LTFC.

To be fair, there can't be many pro footballers who will say to their wife, "let's stay at the 3rd division team despite the chance to make more money, win trophies and a raised profile". Even people who are born at a club, have to think about the future. Plus, they know the club will not be loyal to them if the form dips for too long..
