Second half thoughts

Much better XI.
Watching Saville, Clark and Kal closely they work very well and create plenty.
Two well taken goals by Fanne, but surely that isn’t his best position?
Put a “Michael Cheek” type in that XI and you would win 7 or 8.
Far too wasteful.
Need to recall that has been our undoing for far too long.
Kit is better in the “flesh”, although the socks do appear to be slightly lighter, not sure by design?

Cheers Cuba. Good to hear thoughts from someone at the game.
Was Fanne playing at the tip of a midfield four?
He was touted as a defensive midfielder when we bought him, although if he can finish like that then maybe it is worth developing him further forward?
We lined up with Nordas and Fanne together up top.
Nordas was always more forward so perhaps you could say Fanne was sitting in the “hole” just behind.
Nordas is a pest and created lots and had a lot created for him
Fanne was clinical, Nordas snatched at a few chances and their keeper pulled of a string of saves.
Saville is and was the kind of player we needed in January 2024 and all of last season. If we sign a better player than him this summer we will walk the league.
Still, as work outs go it was far more promising than anything this time last year.
In the first half Richards looked good, he made the goal for Woodrow. Alli was dangerous thoughout, but his Walters and Luker’s hard work often ended a cross into space as we nobody in the box.
Despite fears my mate Crumpsall may think I have crossed over to the dark side, I have to admit I fully agree with him on this. Michael Cheek is almost 34 and has largely scanned around non league. I would like to think that Crumpsall would be dismayed as much as me if that is now where we are setting our sights
I think I remember reading that Ostriches don't actually bury their heads in the sand but they do lean over and look at the horizon from ground level/put their ear to the ground.
They used to do it in Buffalo Grill in France. That and Bison.
There was a girl I used to work with at Ford and every time an animal was mentioned I'd say, to her horror, "they're delicious". Quite often I had actually eaten one but sometimes it was just for giggles.
Where in the blue f>uck do I find data on today's game, btw? I've been on the official site and that but there (wasn't) anything there.
Don't think anyone disagreed we need more firepower, however your constant naming players we should look at gets a bit tiresome. If you hadn't referenced that young Michael Cheek you possibly would not so much grief. He most certainly is not what we should be looking for
Did you go ? Following the Luton News twitter feed it looked like both halves played a 4-1-4-1 formation, interchangeable with 4-2-3-1 Nice to have a positive result, regardless of opposition.
Didn’t see the game, but from pics I’ve seen, Nelson looks to have bulked up a little bit. Good to see as he’ll be pretty effective this season I reckon.
