“The design was supported by Luton Town Supporters’ Trust, who has been involved in the design process from the start and with the approval of all three kit designs, including one obvious deviation from our traditional branding.“

Is the yellow away kit making a return?!

Didn't we have a retro style crest for our third kit last season?

Maybe we are doing that again?

I heard that it might be green. And that came from a reliable source. It will probably be similar to whatever Forest Green Rovers new kit is like.

They're involved in design discussions right through the process, it's not simply a matter of box ticking/ veto.

And the main person involved in that is a designer themself.

The old kit looked it on TV, and is very close in person.

I had hoped we would go orange but we seem to be settled on this.

I agree about on tv, but in person - no.

It was orange, anyone saying it was red needs their eyes tested.

However, in principle I'd far prefer it to be a more orangey orange.

Though plain white shirts and black shorts appeals to me the most..

I'm glad someone else clocked this line. A really bizarre quote to use on a press release about the Home kit only (with no indication of when these other two designs will be announced).

Yep, saw that. Doesn't actually indicate when the away kit will be announced though (just that it will be for sale before the 1st August), and doesn't mention anything about a third kit (which the Sweet quote implies exists).

Still remains a really bizarre quote to use (noting this is not a third party article) on an announcement of just one kit. Why mention the other designs, shouldn't it have read: "The design was supported by Luton Town Supporters’ Trust, who has been involved in the design process from the start and with the approval of the final design".

Pretty sure it’s the same orange as the last few seasons (which I do think is too red, but I don’t think it’s changed). It’s fine, I’d have made the cuffs and collar a bit chunkier and had a proper crew neck and a smaller sponsor, but we’ve had worse orange home kits.
