Well done Gary/2020. The game will be a good workout for the players and a high technical standard. Thomas Frank's first game in charge so Spurs support will turn out.
Surprisingly Franke is thinking of bidding for Mbeumo according to news sources (and no doubt Wissa too), so we might get to see them. I thought that was amongst the important reasons why Spurs appointed the ex Brentford manager (given his knowledge of their wages and the likely bid his former club would consider acceptable to transfer them)
If they’re the only people who go to friendlies (and I don’t necessarily disagree), why have you had a face on for weeks that the club hasn’t announced them? Or is that your caring side, agitating on behalf of the less fortunate?
Anyway, Spurs are playing Arsenal in Hong Kong a few days later so don't imagine too many of their top players will play against us. That's probably for the best.
It’s also Frank’s first game as manager, so you’d imagine he’d want to impress fans and not risk losing to a club who’ve been a collapsing clown’s car for the past 18 months.
Yeah, saying its for the best that they don't play their best players so we don't get spanked and get confidence shot is definitely pissing on chips eh?
Grant Hegley refereed it and then did our first home league game of the season against Cheltenham. He gave them a penalty about five minutes from time for an offence which was a good yard outside the area.
That was the best pre season friendly I’ve seen in nearly 60 years of watching them and set us up for our successful season that followed. Our biggest pre season win (?) against a Gibraltar side was also fun and Antwerp get the gong for best supporters.
I don't know how everyone remembers so much about games. I have what I can only describe as dyslexia when it comes to matches. Same with music. Can enjoy a great gig. But ask me next day if they played "x" and I will struggle to answer. .
There ain't nothing like a friend Who can tell you, you're just pissing in the wind.
