All depends what Brentford now do but if McKenna is the favourite and goes I can see a scenario where Bloomfield is a leading candidate for Ipswich.

On what basis would he be a leading candidate? So far he enabled Colchester to escape relegation from League Two, got Wycombe into the top two in League One and been relegated with us. I'm not so sure that a Championship side would come calling.

Ipswich are his club. He lives locally. Started his career there. Very highly rated at Wycombe. Did well with us other than the last game. Articulate and educated. The type of manager Ipswich would favour over an old hand, similarly to us.
It’s unlikely, but so was Edwards getting another job in Championship, particularly at Middlesbrough.

Highly rated at wycombe? They didn`t protest too much or offer him a new contract when we came knocking.
Last game and about the 8 before? The inbetween bit was OK.
RE getting another job in the championship? He took over, got us promoted, did better than the last 5 promoted clubs in the PL. Had a half season shocker but that happens.
Now I am backing MB. He hasnt proven to be an utter cunt and speaks well. And he is our manager. But he doesn`t have much credit in the bank. He isn`t overdrawn either. But how you put 2 and 2 together and got PI is well franky baffling even by your standards

Why on earth would you be "relieved" if we lost our manager, who by and large has proven himself to be astute, articulate and very nearly got a squad that was dead on its knees to avoid relegation?

Articulate he may be, astute not so sure. Subs at home against Blackburn and the absolute disaster against West Brown have me doubting he's up to it. You hit the nail on the head, very nearly but not good enough.
