    From X:
    According to
    @EFLAnalysis_
    reporter
    @GraemeBailey
    , Burnley are interested in signing Teden Mengi.

    Birmingham, Sunderland and Middlesbrough have also been credited with an interest in the 23-year-old.

    It is believed
    @ManUtd
    would benefit from any sale, having inserted a "substantial sell-on clause" in the deal to bring Mengi to Kenilworth Road in August 2023.

        Get rid.

        Very poor attitude last year, and looked bang average when he came back. Lacks character, pride or passion.

        We should have got his Utd youth team mate tanganga who instead went to Millwall and is a much better player.

            He should feel he owes the club and the fans and help us get promoted first time of asking then fuck off.

            You have to ask yourself or him as to why he decided against surgery at the end of the prem season. Logic says it was done as he thought he would earn a move somewhere. That never materialised so he decided to keep playing and make it worse.

            Besides we won't get more than 5 million as clubs will know we'll take much less than what we could of originally.

              Anyone know what Man U’s sell-on clause is? I think we’d maybe get £4m for Mengi, roughly. I’ve only seen “sizeable” in official reports, and rumours of 50% on SM.
              If we end up getting £2m ourselves, that’s understandable, but also disappointing for someone so clearly a talent when he’s on it.

                                            I’ll keep it brief as possible,although I suspect you’re the type of bloke to not believe something, unless he has first hand knowledge of it himself.

                                            Firstly, he spent most of the summer trying to engineer a move away from the club. When his move didn’t materialise, he changed agents during August to propel this further. His new agent had him lined up to join Torino on loan and with a derisory ‘obligation to buy’ fee post season. The club rightly stood there ground and told his agent to fuck off. Mengis agents were two of many GS referred to as being like vultures (paraphrasing).

                                            Secondly, he refused surgery in may 2024, to ensure he passed a medical elsewhere. He was playing on one leg for the latter part of the prem season. He knew that surgery meant several months on the sidelines and thus failing a medical. What possible reason would you have to ignore the advice of the club and their medical staff?!

                                            In conjunction, his body language was appalling for most of this season. Had a huge chip on his shoulder and looked like he couldn’t give less of a fuck. I’ll reiterate as above, I study body language for a living, therefore am in a position to comment. Just because YOU are oblivious to it, doesn’t mean others can’t interpret it.

                                            Music Critic, confirmed in a post above, that he has a very good source, that re-iterate the aforementioned re Mengi. If you know who Music Critic is, you’ll be aware of his pedigree with Loyal Luton SC.

                                            My source is the same one that informed me that Jared Roberts Smith had been sacked and Danny Murphy tasked to take over. This was weeks before it became public knowledge.

                                              As I said after watching the pre season Dundee Utd game, he stood away from the rest of team when thanking the supporters at the end of the game, didn't look like he was interested in the rest of the team/squad, decent in Premier league, shite in Championship due to what I perceive as an awful attitude.

                                              I don't remember them, any chance of putting the quotes up on here.

                                              Do others remember Edwards saying that?

                                                  So you just decided he turned down surgery to get a move.

                                                  There is not even a whiff of he was trying to get away in that quote.

                                                  Not to get a move away, but that he turned down surgery in may.

                                                  I’m sure you’ve heard similar, that he most definitely wanted out.

                                            Yep, it's a shame cos he is capable of being very good, when he's on it physically and mentally

                                            Luton will never see that version of him again, so it's good for both parties to go our separate ways

                                                    Shame if he does go, he's by a country mile our best defender, maybe Burke when fit could argue that. Thought he was excellent away at Pompey then it all turned to shit. I think RE has a lot to answer for in that.
                                                    Fit and firing he's far too good for Div 3.

                                                      He was amazing at Pompey, really dug Holmes out of a hole with a fabulous recovery run soon after Holmes came on.

                                                          That decision with the surgery does seem odd but can you imagine what a fit and firing Mengi would be like in League One?
