Most promoted and relegated? RADSB, maybe.

    Has this been done before?

Are we, now, the most promoted and/or relegated club in English Football?

Don’t know how accurate this is, and it has us as being in the championship so you can maybe add another relegation!

Not sure how accurate that is. I always understood that Arsenal have never been relegated. That has them down as relegated once but promoted twice.

Arsenal in their current guise, north of the river, haven't been relegated.

Woolwich Arsenal on the other hand....! Way back in 1913!

Based on the Luton seasons on wikipedia, I make us on 28?

You may be counting top of United League and 2nd in 3rd South both of which meant no promotion.

The list Sandgrounder has provided also doesn't cover non-league so that could explain some of the differences also.

That tallies with my figures below if you add on the last relegation.

Funnily enough I mentioned this to Mrs RADSB this morning and counted up the promotions and relegations I had seen - 20. If my calculations are right then I've missed 6.

Wiki tells me Grimsby hold the record with 32 - 15 up, 17 down.

I think I've seen 10 promotions and 9 relegations. Did you start going in the 64/65 relegation season? It must have been quite unusual for a youngster to start going at that time, given how rubbish we were!

Yes, my Dad took me to my first game when I was 5. I wanted to go and Mum worked on Saturday so my sister was fobbed off to a neighbour who couldn't cope with two kids. He worked at Vauxhall all week so wanted to get out on a Saturday.

I asked him for details a few times and got bits and pieces of it over time. He couldn't remember my first game. I have memories of standing in the Bobbers when I was very young. He said he stopped taking me to first team games as the crowds were too big. Yes I did get bored as 5 year olds do - he said he saw me running all round the ground - Oak Road then Enclosure then popping up in the KR end - so that must have been a reserve game but I see some of the first team crowds were 3k so who knows.

I just went through wiki and added the bold type up (where there's a change of division) and made 33, with us being in the Championship, so 34.

                🤷

                  The first 6 were -

                  Down 1912
                  Up 1914
                  Up 1937
                  Up 1955
                  Down 1960
                  Down 1963

                  Then there are 20 more.
