Am I right in thinking that players who are not retained by their clubs contracts end 30th June?
I imagine we will not hear of any transfers either in or out until July.
Heard that Assgasrd and Morris will definitely leave and that we have agreement / strong interest in 6 players.

Can sign players now til the 10th and then again from the 14th June I believe. Window open now for all clubs as some are taking part in the fifa club world cup.
Plymouth for example have just signed 4 players in this mini window and othe clubs are making moves but it looks like we might be scraping the barrel for signings or as this relegation could fuck us over with trying to offload players for values we want.
Players end up being sold for next to nothing now. These players need to have a hard look at themselves and maybe see if they are up for the fight.

Well there have already been nearly 50 transfers across the EFL as of Tuesday. Not all out of contract players, but even those players can be signed and announced in June.

Transfers can happen sooner. Particularly as the season starts so early and we have the Slovenia camp from the 6th July you would have expected that we would want to do our business earlier than last season.
Getting a good start to the season is imperative.
Going into the season with a load of uncertainty (in or out) doesn't help anyone.

Is Slovenia confirmed? Thought I read somewhere we were not going this year - and was pleased about that because last couple of seasons seems to have left us underprepared and with injuries compared to other teams

i suspect the reason for being underprepared was the management team of the time; the fans of his previous club, where he only lasted for 10 games, also accused the team of being unfit and underprepared. I don't believe Slovenia is at all culpable.

I hope Morris stays. But at 29 could still earn more money in a championship side and want to play the best level he can for as long as he can.

I doubt he has many offers from higher leagues after last season. Although the support he and Ade got was literally zero he still underperformed.
