All this I’m not sure about next year but what I can say is that the World Cup is a big goal chat.
He signed for us knowing we were in a relegation scrap and that there was a chance we would go down. If he signed on the basis he could leave if relegated I’d get it but the club need to say that.
If that wasn’t the arrangement, he needs to suck it up like everyone else and focus on getting us back up. If we are smashing it and he’s scoring goals / bossing it then Norway won’t ignore him. They’re hardly blessed with his quality in depth and are by no means certain of qualifying anyway.
As an aside, It would be nice for us the fans, who pay the wages and turn up every week to have the same commitment back from those on the pitch for once.

If no relegation clause then surely badly advised. If he wants to go, set our price. If the price is met he can go, if not he stays

Maybe there was an agreement with the club that he would be allowed to leave if we got relegated - but it wouldn't help our negotiating position if we came out and said that, would it? So let him dripfeed the suggestion that he might be interested in a move so that someone comes in with a bid, and then we can try to drive a good deal. Maybe us fans wouldn't be as clear as to what is going on, but it would be better for the club that way."Never too high, never too low"

Any chance we could sell him to Al Hilal for 100m before the club world cup? Similar player to Fernandes and he knows Haaland. We need the fake sheikh to broker a deal for the sun back pages.

Simple Solution. Loan him to Charlton on a season long Loan . They loan us Luke Berry for the same period . Sorted QED

May as well just have Sweaty on a live feed saying shit like "yeah, we'd like a few million, but really we'll take one and a sell-on" and "I'll drive Kaminski to Belgium myself".
Wouldn't that be refreshing.

That sort of pisses on the argument as to why we so often keep contract length and fees so hush hush though no? People in the know, know, so not much point in keeping things 'secret' in my humble opinion.

Coming from someone who only watches a game when it's close to him after he has begged a ticket off someone.
You are such a cretin. People have a right to be fucked off. The club has gone backwards in the last 2 years and knowing that we may well lose players like Aasgard because of stupid decisions by the club. Losing these players mean we will languish in the lower leagues again for some time knowing the way we do business.
This club is still a mess and no one can paper over the cracks and make it look any better.
But ... we did have an aggressive January transfer window though so it's all forgiven 'LTFC will be having an aggressive replica kit window in January'

We won't, end of.
This is all a knock on effect of the past 2 years SAHB. I don't think we will get straight back up because frankly, I don't believe anything the club comes out with at the moment. It will still be a money saving tactic so we won't spend money.
The trust is broken. Yes I get we have a new stadium on the horizon but why should we have to put up with shit football? 'LTFC will be having an aggressive replica kit window in January'

I'm not sure we will go up either, I also think we'll go through a couple of managers in the process. Getting out of a losing mentality that we've had for 2 years now will take some doing and I don't think nice guy Matt is the man for the job. Hope I'm wrong.

Fucking hell, you sound so entitled.
We are not the first team to have 2 bad seasons and won't be the last.
I have been following Luton for 55 years and have learned in that time that any expectation is foolish. We are one of the very few clubs that have very few boring years, try and enjoy the ride. What kind of fool would follow signs that were never there.

He’s defo looking to move. Whenever a player has said they’re not sure, they’ve gone.
We’ll make a bit of cash and include a sell on given he is a full international now.
If we lose him but keep Alli, I’ll be happy. Alli bigger goal threat IMO.

Re: Asgard
Posted by Father Ted on 3/6/2025, 18:29:35, in reply to "Re: Asgard"
As the OP rightly says, he signed knowing there was a chance we'd be relegated, so fuck him. Unless we get an offer that's too good to be true tell him he's staying and he either shows some bottle and fight or he sits on the bench and definitely won't get picked by Norway. Unfortunately I don't think MB or the board have that in them. He's definitely off IMHO.

You can't blame him, any player with real ambition wants to play at the highest level.
It's not like it's something new, I don't understand why fans think players are going to be loyal.

I agree 100%, managers and players will only look out for themselves, which you can't blame them for. Clubs are often very quick to get rid of them when things turn sour. Apart from us of course 🙄
