Restarting the game at the Bescot Stadium after a 10 minute delay to clear the pitch after Walsall's late goal, only to immediately end the game for another pitch invasion!!!!!

Paul Cook, Chesterfield manager, seen remonstrating to the ref about keeping his players safe away from the potential issues of a pitch invasion. They'd clearly lost the game and the 2 legged tie so the refs primary concern should be player safety. Pitch invasions on such occasions are completely understandable but to play less than 10 seconds just for another pitch invasion is asking for trouble. Unfortunately there's been too many idiots ruining invasions in recent years.

Someone who had bet on 2-2 or 3-1 could justifiably complained if the game had not been played to its full length, however unlikely another goal was.

If the ref hadn't re-started the game it would have been treated as abandoned, requiring a replay and providing the fans of losing teams with a precedent.

Not necessarily the case as the authorities have the ability to class the game as completed and have done so on previous occasions.
