No debuts on this day. Mr J.C. Lomax having been called upon to give his opinion upon the proposed formation of a Town Club, said he was most emphatically in favour of a proposed Luton Town Football Club - 11th April 1885

In the 'Champions' photo, that is me between Nobby and Bruno. I had leapt over the barrier as the team ran past the Maple triangle and joined the lap of honour. As we ran past the Bobbers, Wayne Turner tried to trip me up. We stopped for the photo in front of the Oak Road goal. This all happened pre match. After the photo was taken I went back to the Maple and re joined my mates. Couldn't see anyone getting away with that today.

Have no recollection of Basher leading the team out, or that the referee was John Martin (Alton, Hants).

Me neither. Did you notice Mossy’s ex team mate in the guard of honour trying to trip him? Mr J.C. Lomax having been called upon to give his opinion upon the proposed formation of a Town Club, said he was most emphatically in favour of a proposed Luton Town Football Club - 11th April 1885

He looks at HH Facebook posts as does Mike Saxby - they commented on the attempted trip when I posted the pics. Mr J.C. Great photos of the Barnsley game. Remember being crushed in the Maple due to overcrowding and being in the wrong place behind the barrier. Bit scary at the time. One those photos shows it with a few fans on the pitch. Champions! The trophy was tiny!

What do Scott Neilson and Ronnie Henry have in common?
Also, it looks as though Neilson has joined the list of ex Hatters who have "got up to no good"
