        Utterly horrific

        I remember reading a book about it when on my travels years ago. Dodgy, dodgy ownership who kept setting fire to businesses. Not sure if they cover it on this BBC documentary.

          I can't see how that would have happened in this situation. The speed of the fire was quite incredible. In a similar way to Hillsborough, previous hooligan incidents contributed to the problem.
          My memory (not in this documentary) is of a policeman with his hair on fire. Also Lincoln fans being idiots. To be fair, the programme tonight shows people on the pitch being idiots too. Clearly not understanding what is happening at the back of the stand. Could have happened at so many grounds.

                It was broadcast live at the time. I will never forget that, was watching. Understandably, and rightly, it was edited for further broadcasts. The sights are etched, horribly, into my mind. God knows what scars the people of Bradford carry.
