Edwards / Bloomfield

I suspect we would have more points if we'd stuck with Edwards and given him the January window.
That's how bad Bloomfield has been.
Yesterday was the biggest game of his managerial career and he absolutely bottled it. The Mengi / Burke substitution is one of the most baffling I've ever seen from a Luton manager. Choosing to play Chong up front almost as equally mad.
It's scary how many posters on this board are talking about Bloomfield managing us next season if we get relegated to League One.
He had one job to do, keep us up, and if can't do that he must go.
If we had stuck with Edwards we would already be down, with the worse away record and most goals conceded. God help the next poor club who has him. Should take up fishing.
Bloomfield has sorted goals against.
How the poor bloke can get this team scoring is anyones guess.
Fair comment.Live justly, love mercy, perpetuate generosity, walk humbly.

I'm not 100% sold on Bloomfield but don't forget Edwards' decision to start with Johnson and Nelson for the first game. Sort of set the tone for the whole season.
Was ok in some cameos he made but nowhere near ready for consistent Championship games. He’ll be ok next year but still don’t think he’ll be a regular.

Im beginning to have my doubts about Bloomfield already and I'm normally the last person calling for a managers head.
It could be that he develops into a fine manager but he is very inexperienced and it shows. I think this was too big a job for him at this stage of his career, hence some of the bizarre selections and substitutions. He needed to get it right yesterday but totally messed it up.
Tactically we seem to be a long ball team but with none of the pressing that we saw under NJ or RE phase one. Players don't seem to have the confidence to put together a string of passes and our movement is non-existent. This is on the players but it's also up to the manager to motivate them and give them confidence to play without fear.
Yesterday was as shambolic as it's been all season against a team with the worst recent league form and down to ten men.
Our subs reminded me of a kids game when you are just trying to give them all minutes and not too bothered about what position they play.

Well we will never know. A lot were absolutely screaming for Edwards to go as if it woudl eb a magic bullet. Those first 7 games are bloomfield are what has done us points wise.
I suspect Bloomfield was a long term appointment with an eye on whichever division next season. Having said that up until yesterday there were notable signs of improvement . Just our strikers have collectively turned to shit, and our most likely sources of goals in order are 1)Mcguinness 2)Clarke 3)Asguard
If we are recruiting a manager to keep us up in the Championship because he knows how to manage in League One if he fails - then the club has lost the plot.

Were you born a spacker, or did you have to practice?
20/20 don’t do short terms, and they never will. That’s exactly why he was brought in… ( Big Mick up in Scotland last Sunday, watching the Hearts game, the process never stops)
