Really missed him today. No pace through the middle to stretch the game so it was easy for their defence to handle everything.
Chong was a waste of space.
Why on earth he didn't play Ali through the middle at any point I don't know
He has to play there on Friday surely?

Alli was the free man on countless occasions today, had more of the ball in attacking areas than anyone else, and did absolutely nothing with it.
Aside from the goal against Stoke his end product is woeful.
However, I would still start him up front over Chong.

Alli gets shots off though, which is a rarity amongst our front men. Adds movement too, which we are crying out for up there. It feels a waste to put him left wing back, especially when there is nobody in the middle if he gets to the byline anyway and when crossing isn’t his prime focus/strength. We didn’t even move him central when Nelson came on.
