Jordan Clark. Taken a lot of stick. But stepped up when it matters.

    One against Shiteford at home.
    One against Portsmouth at home.
    One against Cardiff away.

Perhaps there's redemption for him at least during this shambolic season.

he went through a really bad phase - but has certainly looked better since MB took over. He is a good finisher but can make some pretty inexplicable errors for a guy with a fair bit of talent - bit like me at snooker - I can pot a brilliant long red and then miss an easy black

Clark makes himself a available and sees a lot of the ball so makes a larger number of mistakes. If only some of the others were as busy as him.

He doesn't need redemption he's been our best player this season, stick he's had has been uncalled for

      Definitely.

He was immense in the second half.

      Finish was unbelievable.

        Come on England

Think he's taken some unwarranted stick this season, been in a weak midfield without holding midfielder.

That’s exactly it….find it really strange that managers don’t give him support he deserves.
If Fanne isn’t good enough to do that job then seriously our recruitment team need to fuck off.
          I hope he is ….

Defensive midfield is a weird one for young players. Not many have the positional nous to play there and be in the right place purely by virtue of reading the game or the discipline to just sit in rather than charging about the pitch trying to intercept everything.

            See Kalvin Phillips for example.

That's a good point. In my early "career" (such as it was) I was just pleased to be playing but as I got older and more experienced I really enjoyed playing a defensive midfielder role - even a sweeper as I had lost a yard of pace but was able to read the game so much better and have a greater influence on proceedings. I would never have been able to play that role earlier on though.

His bit of skill on the touchline and the move that led to Morris shot at goal was the best football I have seen us play for months.

Morris could have squared the ball we had two players unmarked. Easy to say in hindsight I know.

Thought we were the better side second half. First half was dire from both sides.

I wish Jones, Morris and Eli would be stronger and stop looking for fouls so much.

Good result last night. We really need to back our lads Saturday.

I saw that bit of skill, absolute quality and you're right it's been missing all season. In terms of 'wow' it reminded me of Ade's flick on the byeline to set up Clark for our goal in the Playoff final.
Morris' best option last night when he was through was a soft pass to the left rather than a weak shot. Never mind at least he was there !

Onions and all that, he’s been equally as bad as the rest, don’t think he had fully recovered from his injury and he’s not been fit and was getting played out of position, so all that together didn’t help him. But fair play to him and hopefully we can now see the JC of old.

You are already seeing the JC of old.

He has played well all season in a poor side , not sure what fans see when they watch football.

"not sure what fans see when they watch football."

Mental statement. JC has been as poor if not worse in parts of this season as the rest of them.

Been better since Bloomfields introduction but jheeze. All season? Horrendous take.

                    Onions.

What is actually mental is that a win, any win, and suddenly certain players are heros just like when we lose people are queuing up to scapegoat someone. Football fans are unbelievably fickle and completely irrational. Absolutely fuck all measured responses except from certain posters who've shown over the years that they think things through rather than jump on whatever bandwagon is currently trending.

To say he’s played well all season is a massive stretch, he was dropped a few games back and probably still would have been if Baptiste wasn’t made of tissue paper and Marv wasn’t injured.

I love him, he's a proper footballer. But, even last night he had a couple of absolute shockers.

Nice goal, albeit more than a touch of the may as well just twat it about it.
