It’s good we have options
Posted by Earls on 12/3/2025, 10:58:23
It’s nice we have options again in the squad, and that people are debating who to use, rather than just a resigned “Who cares who we put out?” attitude. Fwiw, my team for Saturday would be
Kaminski
Doughty Naismith McGuinness Makosso Jones
Clark Aasgaard Walsh
Adebayo Alli
But there are valid arguments to include Burke, have Naismith as CDM…
That is probably close to what it will be, I agree with Allí and Eli.
I think MB might just prefer Brown as he is better at pressing and tracking than Allí who is great with the ball but is still a work in progress and looks lost sometimes when having yo backtrack.
Who would be a football manager? Especially ours at the moment, difficult decisions in a vital game. This is no season for loving This is the season of pain
I would never start Adebayo in the the team he’s been awful this season fair enough Morris hasn’t been much better but at least he try’s .

Naismith for Walsh, quite like Walsh on set pieces apart from when Doughty and him try and be clever ! Relied on Doughty at set pieces for ages and too predictable..
Wondered when you'd pop up. You must be gutted we won. It certainly appears that -way from your recent comments although I admit it would be fucking weird to support a club but wanting them to lose.
Very weird comment. Don’t think any of the regular, long standing posters want us to lose (even Cuba!) and not sure what would bring you to that conclusion. Pointing out, and getting frustrated about, the the various fcuk ups this season does not equal wanting us to lose.
I thought he looked decent yesterday and, fwiw, sharp before Naismith’s sending off v Burnley. I think it’s a bit six and two threes between Adebayo and Morris, but I have less patience with Morris - imo he’s gone missing for being in the box, and that backpass to the keeper after Adebayo set him up summed up his recent shooting. Adebayo is more important than Morris defensively at set-pieces etc too: Morris’ rotten attempt to shield the ball out cost a goal last night. I’d be tempted to try Nordas, as he surely can’t be any worse for scoring goals, but if Bloomfield doesn’t yet rate him fair enough.
I like that team, would only change Walsh for Naismith and give Clarke and Aarsgaard license to push on. Thought Alli looked very promising last night, would love to see him running at them from the start. Don’t think it happen though, think we’ll start with Morris and Eli.
