Bloomfield and players at the end

Posted by Ninja on 12/3/2025, 9:14:32

Such a brilliant moment when they came over at the end. You can tell MB isn’t a big ego, hung at the back and was pushed forward by others. A small away following but a cracking atmosphere in the second half. Loved it.

Some of the players seem to have good relationships with the new coaching team which is good.

Clicker, McGuinness, Christ, Kam, Thelo, Walsh, Ali, Nelson were brilliant.

Bell needs to have a rest, easily could have given away two goals with a better team. What the hell is wrong with Doughty? Looks totally unfit and was poor. We can drop the Walsh/Doughty dead ball routine, it’s pony. Clicker was better. Bowler is dire.

Confidence and momentum now, come on!

I think that might be overstating it. He certainly maintained the momentum which had been established with the previous subs and, to be completely fair to everyone involved, the better all round performance after their goal.

First half was dire and was anything comparable to the worse days I. The conference at times. Second half slight improvement. Let's not get carried away great result but Cardiff were absolutely dog shit. As always we have to give a goal away and then depending on the mentality on the day whether we are going to pull it around. Last night with the subs we managed to have the right mentality. Big game on Saturday fans and players need to be on their A game.

"Bowler is dire" are you for real. Not only did he make the winner, he did everything possible to see the game out in the dying minutes.....

You watched a different game to me then, I thought Bell played very well against Pompey and last night.

Totally agree and I also thought Bowler did a great job when he came on.

Agreed Bell has been playing well and carries the ball well going forward like Naismith

Tbf I only watched it in tv but didn’t see much “brilliance” from Nelson.
Appreciate young and still learning but seemed an odd sub to me and we lost a bit of shape.

Especially pleased for Clicker, he has come in for some of the most ridiculous levels of criticism I have ever seen of one of our players this year.

Note, not saying he has been great all year or anything like it, but for me he's been a lot better than given credit for.

Our fans constantly finding players to scapegoat is fucking annoying.
The slagging off Clark brigade should be ashamed of themselves he has always been a fighter and has that bit of quality.

It reminds me of the time Lawless got stick he showed how ridiculous it was by just keeping on putting in the effort. in the same way Clark has.

Nonsense, he may try hard but his form has been woeful for a while now, I appreciate getting played in many different positions doesn’t help him also the injury he had has taken him longer to get over than probably he expected. He is slowly improving but isn’t above criticism for his form over the last 18 months.
Last night was a slight ray of hope but let’s not get carried away, Cardiff are utter dog shit and we looked marginally better in the second half. Bell I thought played well and the finishers as MB called them in his interview should be the starters on Saturday.

Very good observation. The way that some people got at Lawless was bizarre.

Yes pleased for Clarke and that we are shooting from distance now. Big shout out for Horvath, possibly his best ever game for us - he barely moved for either goal.

we seemed to play with freedom once we went a goal down and couple of subs....

Ali has to be given more game time ,pace will cause problems.

Might not get points from every game but I do feel we will have enough to stay up if we just focus on attack
