We're running out of 'last chance saloons'

Posted by Fishing Hat on 11/3/2025, 7:11:03

I think we need to win tonight and again on Saturday to give ourselves a realistic chance of getting out of this mess.
I think we may end up drawing tonight which will suit Cardiff far more than us.

I think we've had it but if you're an optimist a draw is not the worse outcome tonight as they don't pull any further away from us

        We're getting relegated.

        Deal with it.

Gosh, I bet you're a barrell of laughs at a party you miserable bastard. We will probably go down but there's still enough games to get out of it if the club can be bothered to get their collective arses in gear.

I agree with Roy Keane, "parties are overrated".

We're crap, we're relegated, move on, play the under 21's and get on the beers for the next few games.

Of course, everything is possible, however we have won just 8 out of 36 whilst losing 21. We are the division 's lowest scorers and we continue to give away stupid goals. Not too many signs that this shower can get their collective arses in gear. The only good thing about this season? Most of this shower will be history come the summer

                    Most?

I have no idea who's out of contract this summer. I'd be keen to see a list if you have one.

+1. It's been dreadful all season and the January window was the last chance to sign players that would improve us and help us escape - we blew it.

No, no, no. We were very aggressive in the January window! So aggressive that hardly any of the new recruits are getting many minutes

There is always a hope that from somewhere a victory can be dug out but to be honest over the last 2 seasons that has happened so rarely it feels forlorn . My guess we will start well then shoot ourselves in the foot somehow. Against Burnley we were okay until Jones or Christ did a pathetic header backwards and got Naysmith into trouble and a first yellow card. If we are to be competitive next season we need 3 or 4 new over confident big heads as we seem to have a squad of 25 nervous wrecks full of self doubt

based on the performances this season......it'd be a bloody miracle.

All this talk of getting 4/6 points from the next two games, what on earth have people seen to suggest this is possible?!

Maybe because of the random nature of football and that it's unpredictable.

It's a tradition of mine that I have a big breakfast and a couple of pints of Abbott in the one in Stansted airport whenever we're off somewhere.

This has quite often been at some obscene hour in the morning and there really is no better way to start ones holibobs.

If we do go down at least go down fighting. Good performance against Sheffield Utd, resilent against Portsmouth. More of the same please.

It would be very Luton to stay up

Think we should save the inquest until mid May. In the mean time let's get behind our club as best we can

Wait until May? Does this apply to chat in pubs, cafes, at work etc? People need to get it off their chests and try to understand what has happened. Talk doesn't stop people supporting the team on matchdays.

I'd much rather keep hoping and getting what I can out of it than just flouncing about moaning.

That said, in fairness, this season is proving a pretty tough test of that idea!
