    Burnley View from Saturday

Mate thought our challenges were reckless and left ref no choice. Thought the 3rd goal was controversial but could have had more than four. Bit at odds with Matt's assessment.

      Their second was also handball..

Ref was booking anything that moved - but if that had been a burnley player i think he woudl have gone for a final warning.

We woudl have lost anyway but an og, a handball, an out of play goal - sort of luck you get at the bottom. We`ve played worse.

Also, for the second, the ref got in the way of Nelson as he was trying to clear and for the fourth we could have had a penalty for a kick in Makosso's face or, at the very least, he should have stopped play for a head injury.

I am not, by any means, saying that we should have got anything from the game but....

I haven't seen Naismith's first booking again but he seemed to get the ball. Obviously, having been booked (rightly or wrongly) he should have been more careful.

A typical Scott Parker team - play acting and trying (successfully) to con the referee. The free kick against Jones just before half time was a good example of this.

1st booking was a 50-50. he did get the ball i think but got the man as well. One of those some refs would give it as a first booking but no a 2nd (which shouldn't be a thing but it is).

To be honest we were probably dead and buried as soon as we scored the OG. Up until the sending off it seemed we had a game plan.

I`d forgotten about the 4th and the incident before - a meaningless last kick goal i suppose
