Recruitment for starters…mate of mine who is a Brentford supporter said Baptiste was a good player WHEN he played but was always getting injured ! Tactics…..writing on the wall when we were comfortably 3 up against Bournemouth and managed to lose 4-3….RE had no tactical ability RE replacement …..no championship experience which has sadly shown up Spirit…..whilst he is no world beater one of the few players who really cares but gets no support dropped in favour of Adebayo Nuff said !
There’s nothing complex about recruiting players who are known to be injury prone ,if they are known to be injury prone don’t bring them in There’s also something majorly wrong with the coaching
We have a group of professionals at the club who find players, they can't get it right, how would we as amateurs have any idea who is or was available. It appears agents run the transfer market these days, the days of a bloke in flat cap going around grounds finding players are long gone.
Hardly found him did they. A proven England international with a decent fitness record fell into their lap , they didn’t find him playing parks football
An agent would have offered RB, we took the gamble,it worked. You could say Moses was an equal gamble, it hasn't worked. How was Baptiste signed, no one could have watched him over a period of time, he is never fit enough to watch, likely is his agent did a good job on the recruiter's in the club. The people at the top of the club have somehow taken their eye off the ball. The downward trend wasn't nipped early enough. Tough call, but for me, Edwards should have gone at the end of last season. The losing mentality had to be changed then. We were a more attractive to manage in the summer after relegation than we are now. Sorry to say I don't think Bloomfield has the character or experience to turn this around.Time will tell and hopefully I am proved wrong.
Broomfield is not the manager we need best get rid once relegation confirmed, we need a man of experience to overhaul the playing side not someone who can only make adjustments. The whole squad is substandard and needs dismantling and rebuilding. Broomfield does not have the expertise for that.
Next season's requirements will be very different to this, so how do you know that MB isn't the man - especially with what he did at Wycombe at this level!!!Live justly, love mercy, perpetuate generosity, walk humbly.
