Saw him in Norton Canes services on the way home. He said that his one regret in his career is leaving Luton. He said that he was forced out by NJ.

He was ok for conference and let go at right time. NJ probably fed up hearing the roadman accent too!

Forced out ? He was a bang average player who was no where near the level we needed to progress. It's a pity we don't have someone forcing out a few of the current bunch

I know wikipedia isn't always accurate but apparently we gave him a 3 year contract in 2014 then almost immediately sent him to the conference on loan. Then we put him on the transfer list in 2015 then loaned him out and finally arranged a termination in 2016.
Nathan Jones became manager in 2016. So it looks messy but I'm not sure this is his mess.
In today's climate I'm sure people would be demanding to know why we gave him a 3 year contract in the first place...
The most disturbing thing is I have little or no recollection of any of this!

I remember once vividly we were being caught on the break. He was running back towards our goal but all the time he was looking left and right to gauge where he needed to be, if only we had a player with that mindset yesterday. Every time an attack broke down it looked like we would concede

In those days we built and invest for the next level up, struggling with recruitment as we progressed so quickly. Now we build and invest for the next level down finding players who will struggle at that level.
