    Bloomfield interview and the culture

Posted by Ninja on 8/3/2025, 18:47:57

5 minutes of moaning about decisions.

    You make your own luck.

The first wasn’t a yellow, but Naismith had control over the second challenge, which was idiotic in the circumstances.

I do worry about the culturedin the club when a manager starts blaming decisions so early. What about the four shit goals we conceded from weak defending?! Hull lost a player to a red and dug in for a point. We got spanked.

Is everyone just feeling sorry for themselves, playing the victim and not taking responsibility? Get NJ back to sort all these egos and wet wipes out.

And yet last week people were saying he should be more vocal about piss poor officiating.

Whatever the rights and wrongs of today are, it seems these days the more pressure you put on officials the more you get from them.

For fuck's sake, it doesn't matter who the manager is

And if we have to go back to fucking Jones it shows what a mess we are in (and besides why would he come here anyway when we're probably swapping divisions?)

The problems are so much more than the manager although many of those problems were created by the last manager (and the recruitment team). Edwards won us one of our most significant achievements but also completely ruined us. I fear it will take some time to recover from what he did

Yep RE didn’t like the way we played when he first arrived but to his credit wasn’t thick enough to try and change it. He then didn’t get the backing I think he was expecting after relegation from premier league, then threw in the towel in pre season. We’ve limped along since and as others have said it will take years and probably at least two more managers to get us back to what we were. That’s if that’s the direction 2020 want to go in.

              NJ was tongue in cheek.

I know it goes beyond the manager, part of the point I’m making is that the culture at the club has been excuses for too long. It’s what he’s come into and now he’s at it.

If you think Bloomfield is the problem (and I'm not claiming he will be a success either. It's too early to say either way) then you are just not seeing the bigger picture of failure

Bloomfield is the problem though. Things hadn't got so bad that a decent, experienced managed couldn't have fixed.

The Board have made a massive mistake on bringing in someone totally out of his depth.

We'll never know but the problems are far more deep-seated than a manager being any good or not

We're an utter mess - and were before Bloomfield - with the most mentally weak bunch of so-called footballers I have seen in a long time, a recruitment team which doesn't know its arse from its elbow and a previous management team which ripped the soul and DNA out of the playing side of the club

Can't disagree with any of that.

I've heard rumours about the previous manager. If true then it's no surprise that we are in the position we are.

I'll be honest, two different people told me the story but it was secondhand. The fact that nothing has come out tells me it's bullshit.

But the two who told me are top lads and the story absolutely fits with GS cryptic programme notes.

Have these rumours only came to light recently?

Only, if it is true, and the club knew about it at the time, it makes the gushing comments from the club when he left a bit strange, especially when you then do cryptic comments a few months later in programme notes.

Its not the first time there's been cryptic digs by him. The bloke needs to grow up. Either spit out what his problem is or say nothing. It's pathetic.

Putting little Robbie in places where he shouldn't was a rumour going round a bit a go. It could well have been a load of rubbish though.

                        I don’t ffs!

I’ve been saying for 9 months hoe broken the structure and culture is at the club.

It’s not rocket science to see.

I simply pointed out that Bloomfield will soon adopt the weakness that emanate around the club atm.
