    The biggest question re Bloomfield

Posted by Letchworth Hatter on 8/3/2025, 17:29:28

If we get relegated, do you think he gets sacked?

Or will the club give him next season.

    Worrying isn't it?

They've given him a 3.5 year deal, there's no way he gets sacked.

The real question is can he get us out of league one at the first attempt?

None of that Billy Big Bollocks shit

Sacking managers too early doesnt work.
He needs time to build his own team.

Why shouldn't he get the chance to form his own team and get a pre season

Because being the manager of a football club isn't about being able to write off half a season - and only start to be judged once a new season starts.

He will get next season to mold the players (we have left) into a formidable team full of fight and desire, and will lead us to the League one title

alternatively, League 2 has some good vibes

I honestly think bloomfield is the least of our problems

There are some serious structural and cultural issues

For me, I personally want to see more acknowledgement from Bloomfield about those issues.

He made a good start the other week about the fitness. I'm just sick of people pretending everything is fine.

We've all pretended we're well run. The truth is, we were once. But we're not now. Clubs don't fall from grace like this if everything is fine behind the scenes.

Does delivering a new stadium mitigate for the on field performance? I'm not so sure. I don't see why it should be a choice between one or the other.

Yes. Agreed. He'll rightly be given time to build his own team.

Probably because he took over a team rock bottom in confidence, on a massive losing streak, and with too many injured players. Not the best scenario.

Hopefully next season, much of that will be put right . . . and hey, we may have a decent pre season too

We have done worse under Bloomfield than under Edwards.

Have we fuck. We were on a downward trajectory way before Matt joined. He can't be expected to produce miracles with what he's got to work with. Look at the bigger picture FFS. Matt is trying different things out and making subs at sensible times. Not afraid to make difficult decisions by freezing out Moses. We may be lower in the table now but only a thick and ignorant person would see that as down to the current incumbent rather than part of the ongoing long term issues.

Im fairly certain that results would indicate that we have done worse under Bloomfield than Edwards.
