Edwards saying on Saturday his future 'out of my hands'

I interpreted this comment as he won’t be resigning because that decision is obviously in his hands!

As I’ve said a few times on here, I really can’t see the board sacking him so we’re probably stuck with him for a while yet, unfortunately.

I’ve already missed more away games this season than any of my 30 years as a Luton fan (with the exception of the Covid season)! That’s what this Edwards-ball shite does to you.

If Edwards is the amazing bloke most fans think he is, he’ll walk away like Ryan Lowe and Jonas Eidevall did.

Really good interview with Lowe in The Telegraph last week. He could’ve waited to be sacked by Preston and taken the compensation, but he didn’t want to rewarded for failure, so he resigned.

Maybe he thinks he can still succeed.

Ryan Lowe's a bad example. He asked to leave Preston after 1 match of the season. Nobody was calling for him to resign.

Edwards could’ve left after that Burnley debacle on opening weekend, and I wouldn’t have lost any sleep over it! Strange decisions and a sign of what was to come!

Johnson and Nelson both getting their first league starts ahead of senior players on bench, and he goes with the same kamikaze tactics and formation.

I really hope his departure is announced tomorrow, and I genuinely think that’d be good news for the club. Not good news for my bank balance as I’d have to get Leeds and Norwich tickets and probably a hotel for Leeds game!!

And if we'd lost with senior players starting unfit and out of position you'd be moaning about the lack of opportunity given to talented youngsters.

            Hindsight's a wonderful thing.

I admit it’s a slight case of hindsight overall as I wasn’t expecting us to be this bad! But I never had faith that this Pep/Klopp obsessed new version of Edwards would realistically challenge for promotion, despite what him and Sweet said in pre-season, worryingly.

I expected a playoff run at best. We used the premier league money for power court. I kind of got that we'd do the same with the parachute money.

For me the challenge we face is the same as the one we had under Jones version 2. We don't know what to do when we're losing a match.

It's more apparent this season because sides are setting up to defend against us which they didn't do in the #teamslikeluton days.

I don't have any answers. Just a diagnosis and a moan. Take care x.

          Yes they were.

The fans never really took to him.
