I was there - wasn’t so much a wave from Mr Edwards - more a hands up - I fudged this one - I get it - please stop having a go at the players - have a go at me - kind of a gesture.
I’ve not been in favour of saying goodbye until now - Sat was the last straw - after every away day so far this season I thought ‘it can’t get any worse’ - and they continue to reach new lows…..
Pompey, Preston, Plymouth, SUFC, Cov - even Millwall was crap, apart from the points - Sat was when all the crap came together - everything was pointless sideways and backwards, sideways and backwards, Hoof - lost the ball Players seemed to down tools at 1-0 Selection was ‘surprising’ Every tackle - all hands Slow No movement No apparent communication from bench to players at all - just a mannequin stood in the tech area (obvs we were on the opposite side of the pitch - but there was little animation) Nothing for us to cheer
Kept myself amused with the ‘We’ve got the ball, we’ve lost the ball, we’ve got the ball, we don’t know what to do with the ball’ song
Turgid
I don’t know who to get in - but something has to change or we will be in League one next year*
*I might be wrong, but seem to recall we’ve never been in League one for more than one season (not div 3!)
Stood holding his hands up apologetically and then waved before turning to walk away. I genuinely felt sorry for him walking away from the ground. Some of his tactics/team selections and substitutes are utterly bizarre though. Never mind our opinions on whether GS has backed him enough in the transfer windows Its the players that are letting him down massively at the moment.
