    An unconventional idea

Posted by Ratatata on 11/11/2024, 15:57:47

Let’s support our manager and our incredible club including our CEO. Look where they took us? Remember the -30 season? We were grateful to simply have a football club to support. If our results were LLLLLL his role would likely be untenable but we’re nowhere near that place.

Agreed, if he's up for continuing and the board continue to support him then it seems crazy for us not to . . .

Agree. As long as he still have the players onside then we should keep him.

All managers make mistakes from time to time, its how they bounce back in the face of adversity that makes or breaks them.

At least give him time to turn it around and learn from his mistakes.

How much time do you give if things don't change?
All very well him learning from his mistakes then finding ourselves relegated.
Relegation is a real possibility, it's no good looking the other way and pretending it isn't happening.

Does that mistake refer to playing Woodrow?

When Taylor needed to be given a chance?

Mine is a more general point. If you are 4th from bottom then of course he has made mistakes.

Playing Woodrow upfront does seem a brain freeze moment but I've seen little from Taylor to say he is the 'messiah' you think he is.

If Taylor does have a bad attitude (which is purely rumour) then you cant blame RE for not selecting him.

Otherwise it would be the opinion of the manager and coaches who see Taylor in training on a daily basis. They obviously don't rate him quite as highly as you.

We have seen him at Wembley and get glowing reports from Colchester and Lincoln and have a number of clubs wanting to sign him in August.

He banged in a fine finish against Stevenage pre-season and scored a goal that should have stood at Plymouth.

And then he has been left out.

What has Woodrow down to be ahead of him let alone start.

Play Taylor Rob, it may save you your job.

I’m sure if he thought he was the answer he’d be playing. As I’ve said earlier RE is clinging on to his job by his fingertips, if he thought Taylor was the answer he’d play him. Unless you think he’s deliberately sabotaging the team to get the boot.
