    Just some random crap....

    My thoughts,

Board - they are now in possession of an amount money they have likely never seen before, are they finding this a bit difficult to deal with and finding the best way to manage it and not lose it, do they need help/advisors, but that will cost money? We don’t know what happens behind closed doors but it definitely doesn’t feel like they have backed RE in the last 2 transfer windows.

Manager – I hoped he would be able to turn it round, but not sure what’s going on. He managed to get us ‘competing’ in the prem last season, but then his game management at times left a lot to be desired, Bournemouth, Newcastle at least, then Arsenal and Liverpool last minute defeats (that’s about 10 points and there were more). Some of the line ups this season, no Nakamba or Krauss on Saturday! I know Taylor is not the messiah as some are saying, but he has shown where ever he has gone, even for us in the biggest game we’ve ever played in, that he has an eye for goal and the bottle to take a penalty, lets see what he can do for at least a full half, if there has been a fall out that people are saying then that is down to RE to sort it out not freeze him out. If it’s Doherty he’s fallen out with and might get upset if he place so the f*ck what, he might have the most crosses in the league but 90% of them don’t go near our players!!

Players – some of them have been abysmal this season, picking on Mengi but he doesn’t seem interested, one of the goals at the weekend he was just trotting back, the other one he got too easily turned. How many times have I seen a 50/50 ball this year and the other team comes out with it, loose balls with one of the oppositions players and 2 or 3 of ours around it and the opposition come out with it. Simple passing to our own players seems a challenge, that’s not down to the manager, that’s football basics!!

Back room – what’s going on with injuries?

Use of Data – I think use of data has gone nuts (and that’s coming from someone that works in it), they spend too long watching tablets, pointing at screens, and tapping their headsets to hear something, than watching the actual game going on in front of them. Didn’t David Pleat say that the other week. I also heard a scout on the radio last week saying it’s all done on laptops now, whereas he likes to get out see the player, meeting people round him to see his character, and says that doesn’t get done any more.

And finally, apparently Frank Lampard is one of the favourites to replace RE. So beware what you wish for!!

Agreed with last paragraph, not Lampard, we may as well stick with RE if that's the case, Lampard IMO would not be an improvement

The issue with the players is the way that more often than not they crumble at the first sign of adversity - QPR, Plymouth, Oxford, Coventry, Middlesbrough.

        Wasn't happening last season.

It happened last season at Anfield, Etihad, Vitality stadium, White Hart Lane to name 4 away games we went to pieces.
