Was a popular up and coming manager until his brief spell at Stoke. Out of work and would be cheap !!
We could start to do things the way other clubs do.
Like poaching managers who are doing well in a job or poaching players from others clubs rather than waiting for out of contract players. They are out of contract for a reason.
Not sure why we need to have the moral high ground when we are cash rich.
Nonetheless if Edwards is sacked today it will be a disgrace, the real reasons for our malaise are being covered up.
Crazy selections and the fall out with Taylor are all signs of a manager under extreme stress but that has been caused by our reluctance to accept that to stay at the level we are needs flexibility and money spent on the players, not just the low value investment on army of analysts with little or no professional playing experience.
We can’t maintain even Championship football via the moneyball techniques of the past.

Edwards going will not take the heat off GS who is the one who has pulled the rug from under Edwards from a position of strength in December 2023.
I’d prefer GS to come out and say something about our transfer policy when the ambition was for promotion.
Sacking the manager will open a huge can of worms for GS and hence it’s why he is clinging on to the hope we can improve.

We are richer than we were at the start of 20/21, 21/22 and 22/23.
