When the 4th went in yesterday I thought that's it for RE, he'll walk. After reading through some of the guff on here and other places, I really hope if he goes, that it's his decision.
If the Board sack him to appease the loudmouths - mouths open and brains closed - that puts us on a rocky road. What if the loudmouths don't like the new manager? On the outside Luton must be a dream job for a lot of people, but what if they start digging on here, and other loudmouth social platforms?

Seems to be a few people on here trotting out variations of the below:

Unfortunately, I don't think they have fully grasped the severity of the situation. It is very realistic that we end up in a relegation battle and one step closer to the bad times everyone harks on about.
To think we won't get relegated this season despite putting in the performances we have been is pure ignorance.
Because we didnt spend £40million in the summer on a center midfielder and winger/attacker we will now need to spend £100million on a full rebuild as players will leave and we will need to start again which could take 3 or 4 years to bear any fruit.

I wasn't there as currently abroad, but the TV commentator indicated a significant number of fans had left before the final whistle. If true, can only assume they would fall into the "pissed off" camp. Others on here have suggested the support and clapping of the players at the end of the match was drowned out by the abuse. Is this a fair reflection?
I have always considered away fans to be the hardcore support, if you lose the majority of them then surely that indicates it is not just loudmouths?

I left a couple of minutes early because I saw what was coming and I didn’t want to see it. RE has been dealt a difficult hand with the 60 hour turn arounds, and I feel a little sorry for him. That said the players were at each others throats which isn’t good. I get the impression some of the team believe others let the team down, as for the opening goal yesterday. After that went in it felt to me that some of the players thought fuck it, why am I busting a gut when they are doing that?

Said loudmouths are the typical you get at any club.
The narrative that Edwards has been building in recent weeks is just as damaging. He’s giving up in interviews. That, amongst other things, puts the board in a difficult place.
It’s more nuanced than blaming them.
