I don't understand this inferiority complex
When we both got relegated we were getting all the (relative) positive publicity and Sheff Utd were a laughing stock and had a points deduction (albeit a small one) heading their way
We were the much better proposition all things being equal
If you're hinting that Sheff Utd would just pay more money, then ok I agree, but otherwise I disagree that players would automatically have seen Sheff Utd as a better prospect in the summer. They're not fucking Barcelona

They’d pay more money because currently they have a much larger stadium and therefore have higher ongoing revenue streams. Also most footballers would prefer to play in front 25k people than 10k. I believe the Board and recruitment team took your view, which has created this mess

My point still stands though - inferiority complex. If we matched Sheff Utd's wage structure we were the better prospect in the summer
*unfortunately the atmosphere has died this season because the football has been shite for most of the time but players wouldn't have known that in the summer
