    RE % win (exc PL)

Posted by PaddyHatter on 10/11/2024, 13:29:56

OK was hoping some smartarse would do it for me earlier but I've done it myself now. So ignoring the PL, RE in the EFL

FGR W4 D5 L6 (last 15 games), he did get them promoted
    Watford. W3 D5 L2
LTFC W15 D9 L2 (promotion season, Cov counted as 1-1)
    LTFC W4 D3 L8 (this season)

Overall win% is 39%. Looking at the numbers I actually think this season is the first time he's unperformed . Deserves more time imho.

If he wasn’t such a decent man every Luton fan would want him gone, however the club is more important than that and he has lost the plot (his demeanour proves that).
We can’t give him more time because he’s a nice bloke ffs as he will lead us to L1, he’s managing has been woeful since Newcastle away and he is lost in his stubbornness with regards to tactics, system & selection.
He should go now and leave us with good memories because it could get messy if he stays and deep down we all know that.

Who mentioned him being a nice bloke? I just want a good manager. My point was pretty clearly about his win% not his bloody charm ! If you're concerned about how nice he is ask him out for a pint maybe?

If it’s a good manager you’re looking for he has to go that is blatantly obvious.

Not really. That's my point. He's having a bad season so far this season . That's a fact. Otherwise he's shown he's capable. He's learning too. I feel recruitment has massively let him down.

He's not learning though, that's part of his problem.
He's too stubborn to learn, too resistant to change and admit his miserable tactics fail us time and time again.
His failure to implement a Plan B when we're winning matches, has cost us dearly, that Bournemouth match last year was the beginning of the end of our season in my opinion, we just went downhill from then, and continue in that direction now.
That team selection yesterday was unbelievable, as was proven by the result.

Time for him to get out now, one way or the other.

I agree that he was massively let down’ by recruitment and GS should be held accountable for leaving RE ‘hung out to dry’ however he knew that was the case when the window shut and he should have adapted his tactics / system to suit but he hasn’t been up to it.

6 weeks away from the transfer window opening. Could be very different if we can sign some quality.

Bit dramatic. We've lost 8 games this season, hovering above relegation, no sign of improvement, players are played out of position, some don't look bothered, etc, would you sign?

I'd sign for free as would any of us !!! Trouble is I'm absolutely shit at football. I think I'm slightly worse at football than I am at golf and I play golf all the time and have shed loads of lessons too . In fact it's pretty much all I do and I'm still rubbish.

IF. A big fucking if. January as we’ve been told by the board before is always difficult to get decent players in. What makes this January and different?

So if recruitment is the problem, why the clamour to ditch the boss.

Sacking him won’t change much when there seems to be multiple things wrong at the moment.

Hugely unlucky to lose that game. Last second winner for them too. We took the lead.

And the other loss that Burnley dodgy penalty and sending off, after Kompany had given the ref a lecture on what he wanted on the walk in at half time

Absolutely deserves more time and a decent window, backed fully by the board. Sometimes it’s the players as well, a lot of them need to look in the mirror and ask if they’re honestly doing all they can, judging by yesterday not many could say yes.

Team selections and tactics have led to many fans being totally pissed off, possibly, by now, the 'honest & decent' players are feeling the same?
