Rob's position is almost untenable in my opinion.

Since March / April we've watched a once-promising manager deteriorate into a shadow of himself.

He's managed just one win against the other 8 of the bottom 9 clubs we've played.

Where we once had intensity and fight, we now see a defeated figure moping on the touchline, delivering press conferences that sound more like resignation speeches.

Yesterday's baffling team selection, particularly dropping Morris, has clearly lost the dressing room's faith. Players aren't daft - they would question why their captain and best player from the last 2 years isn't starting. It doesn't bode well for keeping belief amongst the group.

We keep clutching at straws with a few "decent showings" against Sunderland etc, but let's be honest - these are teams we finished about not too long ago. We're not plucky newcomers at this level. We've competing and been very successful in this league very recently.

Remember all those impressive stats and data that got him hired? I wonder what they look like now, his underlying data for this season must be awful.

I just don't see any evidence of it turning around. A few plucky performances here and there with gutless surrenders away from home seems scant consolation compared to our pre season targets and journey over the last 5 years.

I would love him to prove me wrong and turn it around. I just don't see it. Reluctantly, for both Rob's own wellbeing and the club's future, it's time to make the change before we sink any lower. The man looks broken, the players have lost belief, and the results tell their own story. Sometimes in football, you need to be cruel to be kind.

Agreed. Away from home you need your captain and best players starting. We've a 2 week break now for them to recover if they're fatigued after playing 3 times in a week. Yesterdays team selection was baffling.

Well written, I totally agree, you've summed up our situation up perfectly.

It's time for Edwards to go, before it's too late.

His wellbeing is one of my main concerns.

He seemed broken since the 2nd Lockyer incident.

the team selection yesterday was strange, taking two out of midfield and two out of attack. I get squad rotation, but take one out of midfield and attack at a time. taking four out of the team in one hit was either very brave or very stupid, the result gives you the answer.

Agree on this. Yesterday we changed 4 of our front five. That is two too many. Especially through your spine and away from home.

                    Bang on again.

Everton struggle but Dyche never turns up to interviews looking like he's a mean comment away from a full on breakdown.

There is no indication that we will turn it around - a bang average performance against Sunderland, and a poor one against an equally poor west Brom isn't exactly a sign of progress
