Is it just me, or in the last few days, hasn’t Mark Robins been sacked for specifically, identically, exactly, the same reason(s) that Mr Edwards might be in the coming hours/days?
If anyone can point out, in detail, as to why Robins is a better choice than Edwards, with all available evidence this week/ this season suggesting he might possibly not be, then I’d love this link to be a real discussion point.
To reiterate - Robins has been dismissed for the exact reasons many would like to see `Edwards go - “continual poor performance”.
But want the man who got sacked for the aforementioned to replace the man who’s repeated the same ofence(s).
Please someone explain??????

Their Chairman has undermined Robins at every opportunity. He brought in a Head of Football who was in swimming and has some engineering degree or Doctorate. Sacked his 1st team coach. The bloke is a fop haired grade A, melt.

It's 100% his team, and he's improved year on year with it.
The playoff final defeat no doubt took the wind out of his sails, and no doubt it's hard to keep on going when you feel you've peaked. Things get stale.
Edwards, in comparison, inherited Nathan Jones' hard work, gave the players a good vibe morale boost, and we have by and large regressed ever since.
I would blame Robins' poor results on stagnation in a certain environment, not on being inept and out of his depth. He's 100% worthy of a spin.

When you say ‘regressed’ the club, what are your thoughts on Kieran McKenna & Russell Martin after their individual spends of £112m & £72m this Summer….and looking doomed already?

Edwards took over with Luton in 14th, 2 years later we’re 1 win away from 14th. How is that described as ‘regression’ ??

Little more complex than just poor performance. The owner has a massive ego and has continually undermined Robins, wants to move to a more continental setup with a director of football and also got rid of Lawrence and Viveash his best coaching staff.

What he achieved at Coventry, I suspect, was unique to that club due to circumstances that they were going through at the time.
A bit like N Jones not being able to replicate what he did here anywhere else, I suspect it'd be the same with Robins.
Not convinced about the clamour for him but I might be wrong
