The rot started last January

Our transfer window was pathetic, we accepted relegation. This was followed by a shocking pre season, and then a few players left 'devastated' that they had not got the transfer that they wanted during the summer window. Their attitude has been apparent since the start of the season. Our pathetic summer window in recruiting sick notes and an overpriced center back has further compounded the problem. We now have to spend the money sacking RE that could have been better invested in the summer. Rant over.
This is spot on and a point I have been making since February. In January we were far from down. A couple of quality signings could have kept us up. The new stadium has become the be all and all but f the boards thinking. If this was another club I would be asking where has the money gone
Didn't Capitalise on the Team's Strongest Ever Transfer Position
Luton in January were spoken about worldwide and a team of huge intrigue.
95% of players in the world would've loved to have played for us, which would've effectively meant we'd have received the best ever value for players possible.
£20mil on a Barkley-esque centre back would've been the prudent move. That £20mil spent wouldn't have evaporated, it probably would've been a solid investment as the player would've been on a pedestal worldwide for 6 months, just like we saw with Barkley's value.
And if such a presence would've managed to stop around 5 silly defensive errors, we would've cashed in another £150mil, too.
Started when lost from wining positions last year proved tactically then and this year Edwards not up to it only successful when he carried on with how Jones set us up
Completey agree. Poor window but edwards stating his intentions to play posession football was the start of the unravveling, however lots of people were happy
To play the Pep style of football that Rob wants would have needed 6 or 7 players were top level championship level and then if we had got promoted we would have needed the same again(just look at Burnley) That was unrealistic and Rob should have been more pragmatic with his tactics than just stubbornly trying to play a system we weren't capable of
