    Measured thoughts leaving the ground

    That was fcuking shit.

The type of performance that can, and sadly in this case probably should, get a manager the sack. We are so weak mentally at the moment, especially if we go behind. They were stronger than us, faster than us, more skilful than us.

Doak, their Liverpool loanee, was very good. But apparently we don’t want premier league loans any more, despite 2 of them playing a large role in us winning our £200 million jackpot in the first place.

McGuinness and Holmes are both OKish lower Championship standard centre backs. Why one cost £6 million more than the other I have no idea.

We’ve had results and performances this before of course. We’ve not had many over the last 10 years, which is part of the problem perhaps. We should be better than we are with the resources we have though. Who knows what is wrong. But something is wrong and we are in a relegation battle.

There’s no point looking up, we just need to get to 50 points by whatever means necessary and retool for next season. And if that means Edwards needs to go, then I’m afraid that’s what needs to happen.

It's not uncommon for relegated sides to perform poorly in a lower division but this is downright embarrassing. The side seems so brittle both physically and mentally and lacking leadership on and off the field. It shouldn't be like this but the table doesn't lie. The 4 year contract might buy RE a bit more time but I think not much.

Don’t think I could be that measured if I’d seen it live. Bad enough from my front room

Such a shame it’s come to this but change inevitable now.
