Not necessarily a ‘sack Edwards’ post, although God knows I can’t see how he comes back from yet another dreadful performance, but I just don’t get what type of team we are anymore. I’d like to know what our identity is. We appear to be a long ball, one dimensional team that struggle to score from open play. No Alfie Doughty seems to mean little chance to score. I don’t buy into the players being shit (and I’m not necessarily in the bring NJ back camp) but I can’t help but think that someone else might be able to get a tune out of these players. Maybe Robbins with a fresh challenge might be able to turn the season around, maybe someone else? Whoever we pick, 4 years is crazy length of contract to offer.

It's exactly this for me. We have tried tippy-tappy and were shit at that, went direct for Watford and Sunderland and looked decent but now we've doubled down on that and now look poor doing that too
We're flailing around. He's been in charge 2 years and we have no identity
TBH, probably explains why our recruitment is so shite.
The manager plays a role in that process. If he doesn't even know the style of football he wants, how do you ever recruit for that successfully?
He would have no idea what profile of player he wants etc.

Because he got lucky with Jones team, once he ruined and broke that up you are left with what we see. At least I am fishing and never wasted my time and money driving up north.
