    Brown vs Adebayo

Posted by Old Guard on 7/11/2024, 8:12:06

It has to be Brown. Looks far more likely to score and has far more ability.
Who would you favour in a one on one with the keeper ?
Brown has scored as many as Adey in a fraction of the game time. What could he do in an extended run ?

It's not Brown OR Adebayo though. It's a tough 46 game season where all players (bar Taylor.....) will play their part.

Had to say great header last night to get the win. Id start brown at middlesboro.

He looks more dangerous at the min when on the pitch

equally I thought Adebayo was excellent when he came on

I thought it worked really well bringing him on against tired legs. Terrifying man to face. He can go absolutely nuts for 25 mins and not worry about gassing out. We’ve got good options now with everyone coming back to fitness. Just needs to settle on a starting midfield combination that works. Not easy but I think Baptiste seems to complement Clark very well, otherwise I’d take Clark out.

Thought we looked very comfortable at the back last night with Bell and Mengi looking sharp, thank God.

With Bell back at LCB, the defence now looks solid.

Who drops out when Burke is fit though? Mengi, McGuinness or does Burke have to wait?

You can't make Burke wait . . . he'd be injured again before he got a game otherwise!

Clark isn't having the best of times at the moment, but I did enjoy him shouldering one of their players off the ball last night

Yeah, thought he was brilliant for the last 10/15 playing up the pitch instead of that quarterback / ball carrying role

100% agreed. People have been writing him off very prematurely. He's a decent player at this level.

Yes maybe he is better as a sub, Chong certainly is

Quite a few of our players seem to play better when they come on as subs

Thought both played well.for different reasons.
Would start ade. Jacob on 2nd half. Counter will be needed. Would like Jacob and Joe as a pacey counter attack. Mix it up a bit.

Brown was pretty invisible until the goal. Ade creates more and has a higher ceiling. Ideally I’d play them both together with Morris somehow.
