    Jan transfer window

Taylor should go out on loan.
Pelly, and Woodrow should be sold/released. Pelly with a summer testimonial.
Use the freed up wages to get a striker or no.10 in that RE believes warrants a place in the side. We need more creativity up top, someone better than Clark.

Releasing a player doesn't "free up wages" as you have to pay the wages due for the remainder of their contracts.

Now - we could potentially negotiate a payoff for a reduced figure. but there's still a figure involved.

So what you're expecting here is that we find better players who will move to us for next to nothing and play for minimal salaries.

There are a stack of games between now and January.

Scares me that fans think January is when we can solve our problems.

If the transfer window is so important why did so few agree with those calling out the need to strengthen in Jan 2024 and over the Summer?

January 2025 will be too late if we pick up less than ten points between now and then.

Never said Jan will solve our problems. Edwards being able to pick the same defensive players each week will be key.
Fresh blood in Jan will also make sense -

Add in fact we are losing Elijah and Meghi in January, both already done deals. And we never recruit in January because it’s not a good market.

Tbh that would probably be a good deal, as he will only deffo be going if there is an agreed deal in place, which would have been agreed before he had his goal-drought.

I’ve heard that two have requested to be transfer listed in January.

My assumptions are Mengi and Taylor.

Info from within the Directors seating area in the Main Stand.

                          Of course...silly me, doh!

Pelly is a huge part of what we have going on. I'm disappointed he's not had more game time this season. No way we should be getting rid of him.

I would have liked to see him get more game time & he is a great person to have in the dressing room but he clearly isn’t rated by RE and at his age it isn’t fair on him to have him hanging around because he’s good for the dressing room, he deserves better than that.

I get the impression from everything I've seen in club comms - and that Sky thing last week - that Pelly seems fine enough. Though like all players I'm sure he'd like to be a regular selection.

It's not sentiment at all. It's an understanding of what Pelly brings to the squad and the spirit of the club, which has been pretty well documented

Why would a fan know the ins and outs of what players are available and want to move, and what they'd like to be paid?

We have a recruitment team for this.

Fans are allowed to have an opinion on areas that need strengthening, and maybe even ideas on who they'd like - doesn't mean they have a 5 man shortlist

There must be some players out there that offer more than we have - even is we have to spend a little more, without breaking the bank, than Sweet would like

                                                  You are ridiculous.

Tyreece campbell from Charlton looks promising.

You realise some are paid a fair wack to watch games full time and look for talent?

Why? Recruitment team on five and six figure sums. It’s their job. Fans have real jobs to do and are expected to do the recruitment for the club?

Following your logic why don’t w just scrap all the recruitment and analysts, bung all the fans fifty quid and ask us to do it by committee?
