    Handball

Just watching Blackburn v Sheffield United and a Blades' player has just got booked for handball. Didn't look as bad as the WBA player last night in the penalty area.

Could not have happened last night as the linesman was staring right at the player, and officials never get it wrong.

Also, what was that waiting for the ref to give a throw the other way before raising the flag!

Browne pushed him before the ball hit his arm.

Free kick or penalty so the referee gives a corner.

Indeed. The fact that he gave a corner shows he recognised that it came off the defender last! Therefore, as it was his arm it's handball so a penalty to us. Or if he thinks Brown pushed him - as the pundits suggested, it's then a free kick to WBA.

I will defend the referee a little bit here.

The fact that Brown nudged him does not necessarily mean a foul - football is not a non-contact sport like basketball.

However, it could be justification for not giving a handball if he wouldn’t have hand balled it were it not for said nudge.

So I think he did get that one right ultimately.
