Krauss and Walters are back fit for tomorrow

Posted by Earls on 20/9/2024, 13:45:19

Baptiste has a thigh injury, for any (tinfoil) Hatters who fear he’s disappeared into a black hole.
Brown is back in full training too.

Baptiste injured already there's a surprise. Hopefully Walsh and Nakamba can stay fit otherwise we are down to bare bones already. Although I'm not holding out hope to be honest. Shame as we looked good on Saturday.

Walsh and Nakamba stay fit, so that’s 2 that are ok , and then you say we would be down to the bare bones?

So I mights as well say I hope Kaminski and Shea stay fit, as we would be down to the bare bones?

Do you want 4 players in every position?

There’s so much wrong with that post. One injury in midfield is nowhere near ‘bare bones’.

Your last sentence - ‘shame as we looked good on Saturday’ - we’re not missing anyone that was available against Millwall!!

Also, we didn't look good on Saturday. We were poor.

Thought we controlled the first half and could have been a couple of goals up. Second half we were sloppy in possession, but still largely untroubled, apart from pellys howler.

Pellys howler......?????only one to play a stray pass yeah.....what about all the mucking about in and around our 18 yard box all through the game....ffs

It lead to a direct chance on goal for the opposition. Which other the other ‘stray passes’ lead to a one v one on our goal?!

                    Stop being so precious.

...and Mengi's "howler" late in the game.

I thought that it was probably our worst performance of the season but we won so who cares?

Don’t agree. The second half against QPR was far worse than Saturday. At least we were resolute defensively on Saturday.

Any reason you’re being pedantic about the word ‘howler’?!

No, just saying that Mengi made a big mistake as well as Pelly.

I was talking about whole games rather than parts of them. I thought that we played better overall in the other games than over the 90+ minutes on Saturday

I agree that Mengis dithering was also a bad error; the point of difference being that it didn’t immediately lead to a clear cut chance on goal, hence why I described it as a ‘howler’ - semantics I guess.

Thought the first half on Saturday was encouraging and dominant, but without creating tons of chances; similar to the first 60 mins of the QPR game. Our second half performance reminded me very much of our 22/23 season, strong defensively, but limited/sloppy in possession. I’d take that every day of the week in comparison to the second half against QPR, which was very reminiscent of last season.

Clark, Krauss, Nelson, Pelly all available I assume.

                Hardly bare bones just yet.

Starting to look pretty strong now . . .

Just need the strikers to start firing!

Looking forward to seeing Brown back. Big miss last year when he got injured.
