6 diplomats accused of spying. Since spying goes on all the time, it is strange how all countries play the, "not us guv" routine. Now we are getting close to letting Ukraine fire further in to Russia. What could possibly result from that. Even if Putin wanted to be restrained, he would be under tremendous for "revenge ". No idea what the answer is.

The opening post is not entirely true. The permission is for them to use the weapons but not to strike deep inside Russia. The missiles currently used are hitting airfields inside Russia and the new missiles would be used for the same purpose. Russia have just taken stock of 200 ballistic missiles so they are ramping up. NATO and the west cannot back down. Firstly when Ukraine removed their nuclear weapons NATO promised to protect them should they ever be invaded. Secondly if the west backs down then bullying with the threat of nuclear weapons proves it’s point. NATO and the west will not step back from this. I think Putin will admit defeat to himself and hope that he can negotiate a land grab to save face.

It does not take much for one to go off target. So even if you are correct about the original targets, one malfunction would be enough to create fresh problems. Time will tell.
