9/11….Seems like yesterday I bet everyone knows where they were that day…I was with my sales manger having a pie and a pint, near Royston..

Was doing a pastoral visit in Matlock. The family were as intrigued as they were shocked as we watched it for ages together. It was one of the longest pastoral visits I've ever done.

Was at work nr Tottenham Court Road and our boss sent us home from woek in casw anyone flew a plane into Centre Point Tower.

I was in the halls of George Washington University in DC, there was chaos and panic everywhere. A lot of students from NY had family and friends who worked in the towers but communications were down for a long time, many were watching the news not knowing if they were safe .

I was in year 6(last year of primary school). I remember getting in and my mum rushing to put the TV on and seeing it on the news

Remember them very clearly. It was just days before my wedding day in one of the home counties. I was actually driving down to my future in-laws that day and I stopped off at Watford Gap services on the way down from Derbyshire as the news unfolded and called them trying to work out if it was safe enough to continue knowing they lived near the M25.

The 7/7 uk bombings 2005..just an opinion of mine..but as a nation we do not remember the day..so it tends to get less attention...whereas Americans have remembrance services to mark the day..

Driving down the dual carriageway into Hemel when I heard on the radio that the first plane had just crashed into the tower.

Turned round at the magic roundabout went home and saw the second plane hit.

I remember feeling sick and don't remember that happening anytime before or since when seeing a news item.

I was working my summer job as a removal man in WTC building 7, when the first plane hit, we were told to stay put as it was only a small aircraft hit, but my boss told us to leave and as we got to the ground floor the second plane hit, some of the things I saw that day will live with me forever.

Incredible. I was watching it live as was on holiday at the time and saw it unfolding. As I’m sure with many others it’s stuck with me forever. Since that day it’s something that’s intrigued me. I’ve watched so many documentaries about it and still find it somewhat unbelievable. I recently re watched 9/11 one day in America and when they fall it still astonishes me. Didn’t WTC 7 fall later that afternoon due to fire damage and structural failure from the debris? I hope you’ve been able to move on from what happened on that day.

That’s correct WTC 7 collapsed in the evening. I remember my mum and dad trying to call me as they knew I was working near the twin towers, but the phones were out for 2 days so didn’t know if I was ok.

Must’ve been the longest 48hrs for them. I bet all of you had a different take on life after that. Thank goodness you survived. Such a terrible act but some incredible stories of heroics and sacrifices.

I don’t need to lie about something as serious as this. I was at uni and living in Greenwich Connecticut at the time and I remember sitting in Thataway cafe watching the aftermath on tv.

I was in Leeds with my youngest on a visit to Leeds Uni.
Those travelling to London on the train home were worried about something similar happening in the capital.
One girl was crying on the phone to her Mum. “No, Mum. I can’t stop the train, we’re in the middle of Yorkshire but I don’t know where.”

I was talking to my mum on the phone, and caught sight of the first plane going into the tower on the tv in the other room. I said “there’s a plane crashed into a skyscraper on the news” and we finished our conversation abruptly and both watched it. It was dreadful, all those firemen trying to get throughthdsmoke, and the person jumping/falling from the tower.
Very sad day.

Decorating our lounge in last house shortly after moving in, heard about 1st plane and the watched 2nd plane hit. Couldn't not watch, awful day RIP them and the 7/7's.

I was in our office on the King's Road Chelsea, sneakily keeping an eye on what was on the news whilst 'working'.

Suddenly there were expletives all round as all were doing the same as me. Due to the demand on our internet, one by one everyone's feed froze, except mine. I ended up with about 20 people looking over my shoulder, aghast.

At lunchtime we went over to The Chelsea Potter, hoping for updates on their TVs. From what I recall, there was virtually no information - nobody had a clue as to what had happened.

On way back to base from deliveries. Remember Steve Wright (in the afternoon) saying a small plane had crashed in to a tower. He carried on with the music. Then it started unfolding .
Got home and it was like watching a movie. Still is.
Hellish, but on other hand, we have all turned a blind eye to what our governments justify.
