Maybe, with the Championship in mind, once relegation was confirmed,
Ade and Morris should have been made available to any interested clubs. Taylor and McAtee would be the new striker partnership, together with Brown once fit. Woodrow put in the recycling bin. Two new fuk off no nonsense cb's brought in from wherever, possibly overseas. Money spent on a couple of real quality midfielders with Championship experience that make things happen. Now that would have made things more interesting.

Personally i dont see ´personel´ making any difference. A back three of Maldini, Desailly and Cafu would struggle to make our defensive ´system´ work. We shipped 2-3 goals a game last season and my worry is we will continue to do the same this season, so who plays up front almost becomes irrelevant. Because at any level of the game you cannot ship that number of goals and be competitve. Until we tighten up significantly at the back, the rest is just like shifting chairs on the Titanic

Can you imagine the meltdown if we sold our 2 best strikers and went into the season with 2 that had no championship experience.
I thought Morris was hopeless last night and Adebayo got no service. Personally I was desperate to see Joe Taylor come on. Joe Johnson will one day be an outstanding player but is not the finished article.
Edwards wants a different possession based approach, all well and good if you have those type of players. Midfield were outplayed, defence out of position and gifted 3 goals where the ball was lost and their players ran though us unchallenged.
