    Bright side

I have spent the last 12 hours down and worried about what I saw last night but trying to take the positives, maybe it's the kick up the arse we all needed, one season in the premier league counts for nothing now .... lets hope it gets a reaction from all, players, manager, club and fans that is required to have another good season

We've been kicked up the arse since January. To be that lacking in competitiveness is inexcusable.

I hope you are both right but wishful thinking on its own will not change things. We have never spent big but we still managed to bring in quality players. We also need to analyse our mistakes revisit our playing strategy.

Need to get back to the aggressive pressing and quickness and directness in the side like when we won the playoffs and got results. This tika taka football ain't working we tried in the last 20 games of the premier league season.

Cast your mind back to this stage two seasons ago. We made a very underwhelming start, think we were in the bottom three after four games and loads on this board were screaming for NJ's head.

We ground our way back in it and then really pushed on in Jan under RE. Granted it was a horror show last night and it's been a frustrating window but I'm pretty sure we'll be there or thereabouts at the end of the season.

Absolutely. Last night's result means fuck all, but, should we not learn from it, and repeat it, then it becomes important.
Simply, why did we not compete?

Agree 10 games in is the time to access where we are

We made an underwhelming start, yes.

We didn't lose 4-1 at home with the opponents not having to get out of second gear. We looked awful yesterday. Poor team selection, even given the injuries. Needed to make changes earlier than we did. This result was on the cards, hopefully it's the catalyst the club needs

This board was in meltdown after four games of that season. In fairness, we had been pretty abject particularly at home.

Pretty confident we will turn this around as we did two seasons ago.

Agree. The mil nil v Birmingham was a point in the board. It was also played in July because of the World Cup, took place in 32 degree heat and had water breaks.

It was scrappy, but the team competed and did not lose. No comparison to last night.

I hardly think Birmingham that season had the quality that Burnley possess atm.
